One great way to have physical activity and to improve focus and reflection is Julius West’s Archery Club, run by Mr. Brink. On Thursday, March 1st, I decided to get the scoop on this “archer-ific” (Brink, 3/1/18) sport. Archery is all-inclusive and doesn’t require a lot of strength, but hitting that bullseye is an experience no other sport can provide. Though the Maryland Archery Meet is getting closer (meets might stop or occur less often after), you can still come on Wednesdays and Thursdays, just show up and sign-in! Ian Palansky, a 6th grader, rates this club as 5/5 and notes the good instruction. Get out there, try something new, maybe set a goal for more extracurriculars, for setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible (Anthony Robbins), and with practice hitting the 15-meter bullseye will become reality.
