A JW Club

An Arabian proverb states that “A book is like a garden carried in the pocket”. Like a garden, your knowledge can be grown. Book clubs are a way to read and learn more. To dig deeper into JW’s book club, I interviewed Ms. Messing on Monday, January 22nd. Ms. Campbell and Ms. Messing took the idea of a student book club to Mr. Staton and he loved the idea. The book club, which meets once a month, all year, is a great place to relax, nibble on some snacks and philosophize about the monthly books. Each meeting, the club votes on books to read that month. Previous books have been across all genres and include To Kill a Mockingbird, Kommandant’s Girl, 23 Minutes and City of Ember. The club was rated 5 out of 5 by Ifrah Reyal, one member of the very diverse club, where everybody loves reading, and growing their garden of knowledge.
