Makerspace is a club here at Julius West that meets every Thursday in the Media Center after school. This club is – hence it’s name – about making things. You get to make a wide variety of projects, ranging from Pokemon teams on Pokemon Showdown, to coding projects on the computer. Right now in Makerspace, several projects are underway: a LEGO Geckobot, a hydraulic arm, and coming soon–a new Arduino drone. Everyone can participate in whatever they want. It’s one of the best ways to do the activities that your parents can’t buy or won’t let you do at home! Your mom may not buy or let you build a drone at your house, but Makerspace is a perfect opportunity to do that! We hope that if you join, you will have the same experience we have!
